Background Check FAQs

Security is a vital component of a successful business and we are continuously looking for ways to prevent fraud and protect clients – and their customer’s data.

The initial background check is now apart of the Registration Process for all new agents. There will be a charge of $9.99 (payable to the third-party background check provider, First Advantage) for this initial background check.

  1. Why do I have to complete an Initial Background Check?
    1. Clients on the Arise Platform provide Service Partners and their agents with access to a large amount of confidential information, such as customer names, addresses, phone numbers, and credit card data. Because of this, all new registrants will be required to complete an initial background check as part of their registration to use the Arise Platform. This report will include a criminal record search and social security number verification.
  2. How much does the background check cost?
    1. The initial background check will cost $9.99.
    2. Agents that sign up for certification within 30 days of signing up under our company, successfully pass and service for 60 hours can email us to have this cost credited back to their invoice.
  3. I have a Credit Freeze on my information?
    1. If your credit report is “frozen” or otherwise restricted, you will have to temporarily lift the credit freeze in order to complete the background check. You will only need to lift the freeze with Experian (www.experian.com). You do not need to lift the freeze at the other credit bureaus. You should lift the freeze for a minimum of 10 days and will need to wait at least 24 hours before starting the background check after you lift your credit freeze.
  4. Once I completed my background check, will I receive an email letting me know that the background check is complete?
    1. You can check your Arise Portal for updates. You will also receive an email notifying you that you have successfully completed the initial background check.
  5. What happens if I fail a background check?
    1. If you fail the background check, you will be unable to continue during the registration process. A copy of your background and information about your right under the FCRA will be mailed to you at the address you entered during registration.
    2. If you have any questions about the accuracy of completeness of the background report, please contact First Advantage at 1-866-439-7179 and use Option 1. Please do not contact Partner Support about failed Background Checks.
